Welcome to the Yee lab!
How do we know what a lemon is, or understand the concept of joy?
Our primary focus in the lab is on understanding the cognitive and neural bases of conceptual knowledge (a.k.a. semantic memory).
The Yee Lab is part of the Department of Psychological Sciences' Language and Cognition program. Dr. Yee will not be accepting new graduate students for Fall 2026. However, other faculty members in the Language and Cognition program are welcoming applications. Learn more.
We also invite those who are considering pursuing a PhD in Psychological Sciences, Cognitive Science, Speech and Hearing Sciences, Educational Psychology or Linguistics to check out the MAGIC program! Its mission is to connect aspiring graduate students with mentors who can empower them with the tools to succeed in their graduate school applications and beyond. The MAGIC program especially encourages those from underrepresented, historically marginalized, or first-generation backgrounds to participate, but is open to all.
